28th June 2021Total sales and mortgages in April exceeded the levels of the same month of 2019
The College of Registrars reports on the progress of provisional data from the Real Estate Registry Statistics for the month of April, relative to registered sales and mortgages, by comparing data with the same month of the previous year. In the comparisons, the monthly data for April 2019 is entered in order to also compare with the same month of the year before the pandemic.
In April the number of total sales have increased by 91.0% compared to April 2020. Regarding the number of operations carried out, they went from 44,836 in April 2020 to 85,365 in April of this year, showing Well, an increase of more than 40,000 operations, a consequence of the confinement of April last year. In relation to the month of April 2019, in which 78,332 operations were registered, there is a significant increase, of 9.3% being 3.1% for house purchases.
