Living in Almoradí: best areas, cost of living and main advantages
20th November 2025
Living in Almoradí, in the heart of the Vega Baja del Segura, means enjoying a peaceful environment with a good quality of life and a strategic location between Murcia, Elche and Alicante, just 20 minutes from the coast. The town offers complete services: shops, educational centres, health centres and nearby hospitals, as well as an active cultural agenda and numerous leisure and dining options.
Regarding the best areas, Almoradí offers different residential profiles: the town centre, with social life and services within reach; Avenida Orihuela, a dynamic area with recently built homes ideal for families and young people; and Heredades, a quiet district with spacious houses and good access to the AP-7. The town also offers a varied real estate market for buying, renting and holiday accommodation.
The cost of living is one of its main attractions: the price per square metre in October 2025 stands at €1,138, well below the provincial average. Public transport costs around €2, and the monthly grocery basket for a family ranges between €200 and €250. Dining out usually costs between €10 and €15 per person, and many leisure activities are free or low-cost. These figures contrast with nearby municipalities such as Algorfa (€2,792/m²) or Rojales (€2,280/m²), where residential tourism and a high international presence increase housing and service prices.
Among the advantages of living in Almoradí are its affordable costs, good connections thanks to the AP-7, a wide range of services and a rich cultural and gastronomic scene. As disadvantages, it offers limited job opportunities and public transport that could be improved, making it advisable to have a private vehicle. Overall, Almoradí is an attractive option for those seeking quality of life, reasonable prices and a welcoming environment.
