TIPS ON HOW TO PREPARE YOUR HOUSE BEFORE GOING ON VACATION.
26th June 2023
Are you thinking about that long-awaited trip or those much-needed days at the beach? There's a hurry to pack your bags and leave as soon as possible. Don't forget to dedicate some time to prepare your house before you go. The experts at Habitissimo explain:
- Leave the house clean: make sure there's nothing visible that could attract insects or cause unpleasant odors. Check the kitchen, bathrooms, and trash.
- Check the fridge and freezer: empty them if possible and ensure the food will last or activate the "vacation" mode if your refrigerator has it.
- Inspect the plumbing: close the main water supply valve and check faucets, drains, and toilets.
- Unplug devices: turn off lights and disconnect appliances to avoid energy consumption and potential issues.
- Take care of your plants: ensure they are in good condition with sufficient light and water for several days.
- Securely close the windows: make sure they are properly closed but leave the blinds slightly raised.
- Take additional precautions: empty the mailbox, program lights to turn on occasionally, and if possible, leave a spare key with someone trustworthy to check on your house.
This will ensure a peaceful return.
