Bonus for young rent, possible bubble and the Housing Law
Asked about the rent bonus for young people, the minister explained that the Ministry has already transferred the funds to the autonomous communities and that these should be the ones that launch the calls in the coming days. In any case, its effectiveness will have retroactive effects from last January 1.
Regarding the threat of a possible real estate bubble, Sánchez has assured that the Government is already introducing new tools and instruments to avoid any outbreak, although he has highlighted that in the last financial crisis, unleashed mainly from the real estate sector, there were many components .
The minister has also referred to the Housing Law, saying that "it does not go against anyone and does not attack the sector", after criticism from various real estate spheres and from the political spectrum, adding that "legal certainty is needed but also protect the citizen".
The Minister of Housing has made the inaugural visit to the International Real Estate Exhibition, (SIMA), an event that starts this Thursday until next Sunday at Ifema Madrid, and which will serve to expose the advantages of the Recovery Funds for Urban Rehabilitation and Regeneration, which have 6,820 million euros.
The minister was accompanied by the Secretary General of the Ministry's Urban Agenda and Housing, David Lucas, and by the General Director of Sepes, Fidel Vázquez, an entity that has 1,000 million euros from the Recovery Funds.
Sepes urbanizes the land to obtain the plots suitable for housing the construction of public housing on an affordable rental basis. It is currently developing land to accommodate 5,697 affordable rental homes, included in the Affordable Rental Housing Scheme.
