NEIGHBORS WITH HEART
22nd August 2021REAL ESTATE, NEXUS GROUP, INFORMA
With a defibrillator equipment, the number of deaths from cardiac arrest, one of the main causes of mortality in our country, could be reduced in the communities of owners.
According to the Registry of External Defibrillators Outside the Health Scope of the Community of Madrid, only 500 of the nearly 200,000 communities of owners in the region have a defibrillator.
Since "Neighbors with a heart" was launched, there have been more than 60 collegiate farm managers interested in the facility and 200 proposals made.
The Professional College of Property Administrators of Madrid (CAFMadrid) has joined the project of the defibrillator installation and maintenance company "Neighbors with a heart" to encourage communities of owners to try to reduce the number of deaths from cardiac arrest and choking in homes, one of the main causes of mortality in our country and that could be avoided with a defibrillator device installed in common areas (swimming pool, garage, janitor's booth, stairs) in less than 5 minutes from the cardiac arrest.
In Spain it is still a residual practice to have defibrillators as a vital resource in the event of cardiorespiratory arrest. In fact, according to the Registry of External Defibrillators Outside the Health Scope of the Community of Madrid, the number of communities of owners that have this device does not reach fifty, only 500 of the nearly 200,000 that exist in the region, although since Once "Neighbors with a heart" was launched, the company already has more than 60 farm managers interested in the installation and 200 proposals made.
